Blood Relation Transfer Deed
Transfers of property within the family that qualify for Haryana’s stamp duty concession for blood relations.
Property is often passed within a family during the owner’s lifetime — from parents to children, between siblings or between spouses. In Haryana, such transfers between specified blood relations are commonly made by a gift or transfer deed that qualifies for a concession in stamp duty under State notifications.
The concession applies only to the relations and kinds of property covered by the notification in force, and the deed must still be executed and registered like any other transfer. The chambers checks eligibility, prepares proof of relationship, drafts the deed and assists with registration and mutation.
How we assist
- Checking whether the relationship qualifies for the concession
- Drafting the gift / transfer deed within the family
- Relationship affidavits and supporting documents
- E-stamp, registration fee and appointment
- Execution before the Sub-Registrar
- Mutation in the name of the family member
Documents usually required
- Title documents and revenue records of the property
- Proof of relationship (birth certificates, Parivar Pehchan Patra, etc.)
- Aadhaar and PAN of both parties and the witnesses
- Passport-size photographs
The exact list depends on the property or business concerned; it is confirmed after the documents are reviewed.
Frequently asked questions
The relations covered are listed in the Haryana Government notification in force and generally include close relatives such as parents, children, spouses and siblings. The list and conditions should be confirmed for the specific transfer before the deed is executed.
Yes. The concession reduces or removes the stamp duty, but the transfer of immovable property must still be made by a registered deed and followed by mutation in the records.
The information on this page is general in nature and is not legal advice. Stamp duty, fees and requirements are set by the authorities and can change; they are confirmed for each matter.
